The SurgiScheduler Calendar can be easily customized to provide additional functionality as desired.

Recurring Events. Allows an admin or coordinator to set up an event to populate the calendar on a regularly scheduled basis over a set period of time. Example: schedule a meeting every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. between January 1, 2004 and June 30, 2004. Off by default in the SGS-35 calendar.

Time periods. By default the SGS-35 calendar is set up to schedule events on an hourly basis. This can be changed to a 30 minute or 15 minute basis as desired. The time period set determines what hours an event can set to start and end at as well as what time slots within an event are available.

Default start and end times. As a convenience, when an event is added a default start and end time are selected in the Time and Last Time menus. The SGS-35 defaults for this are 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. These can be set to any other times desired.

Number of patient add lines. By default SGS-35 provides input fields at the bottom of an event detail page to add one patient at a time to an event. This can be changes as desired to support adding more than one patient at a time (up to a limit of five at a time).

Display Confirmation Number. SGS-35 maintains a unique confirmation number at the event level. By default this is not displayed. If desired this number can be displayed in the month view.

Unavailable reasons. The reasons that may be selected when posting a day as 'unavailable' for a Surgeon are by default 'Vacation' and 'Unavailable'. The list of reasons may be customized to meet your business requirements. Other reasons for unavailability such as 'Travel', 'Conference', 'Training' may be added to the list and any existing reasons may be removed from the list.

On call Tag. SGS-35 provides an optional 'tag' that can be attached to any on call posting. By default the tag reads 'E/R'. This can be changed as required.
